Kweli Journal and East Harlem Presents are proud to host “Memory and Magic: The Art of Sara Woolley,” on display January 16, 2015 – February 8, 2015 at Poet’s Den Gallery, 309 East 108th Street, NY, NY. The exhibit features a wide selection of work by this talented Latina artist, and includes illustrations that have appeared in children’s books, on book jackets and in advertisements. Preview art from Charlotte and the Quiet Place (Parallax Press, April 2015), Los Pirineos, the Mostly True Memoirs of Esperancita Gómez, and more. Study process work and finished art. Then meet Sara Woolley at Poet’s Den Gallery during an Artist’s Reception on Friday, January 30th, 6 - 10 pm. Original work and prints will be available for sale.
